In the year 1906, Punjab Agriculture College and Research Institute was established at Lyallpur to spearhead agricultural development in newly-established Canal Colony. The College was elevated as a University in 1961. The impact of this institution is seen in the entire region. It has a world-wide recognition. The knowledge and technologies generated here have ensured food security, industrial raw material and business, resulting Socio-Economic benefits. We are celebrating Golden Jubilee of the University during the year 2011.
