Focusing on agricultural research

In the year 1906, Punjab Agriculture College and Research Institute was established at Lyallpur to spearhead agricultural development in newly-established Canal Colony. The College was elevated as a University in 1961. The impact of this institution is seen in the entire region. It has a world-wide recognition. The knowledge and technologies generated here have ensured food security, industrial raw material and business, resulting Socio-Economic benefits. We are celebrating Golden Jubilee of the University during the year 2011. The University resolves to continue its journey of success by providing quality manpower and research as well as through outreach programmes. VICE-CHANCELLOR DR IQRAR AHMAD KHAN, Faisalabad, September 7.
