OUR STAFF REPORTER MUZAFFARGARH - The next three-day special drive of anti polio campaign will start from September 19 to 21 in Muzaffargarh district in which polio vaccine drops would be administered to over 6,87,245 children of under five years of age. This was disclosed here on Tuesday during a meeting of district polio eradication committee which was held under the chairmanship of District Coordination Officer Tahir Khursheed Chaudhry for reviewing the arrangements of the anti-polio campaign. The District Officer Health (DHO) Dr Sadiq Saqib informed the meeting that 1,650 teams had been constituted by dividing the district into 16 zones for the purpose while 1,274 mobile teams of health department will visit door-to-door in the urban and rural areas and 186 teams would remain present at the entry point of highways, bus stands, hospitals, dispensaries and other important public places. He informed the meeting that 16 zonal supervisors and 150 area in-charges had been deputed in all the 93 union councils of the district to make the anti-polio campaign a success. DCO Tahir Khurshad directed that attention be paid to create awareness among general public.
