At least 142 new dengue cases have been registered in Punjab during last 24 hours. According to official statistics, 1772 cases have been registered in Lahore while 132 new cases have been registered in government and private hospitals of the city. During last 24 hours, 8 dengue cases were reported from Faisalabad while one case each was registered in Multan and Bahawalpur. Talking to a private television channel, DG Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan said that some rescue officials were also affected by dengue virus and 76 officials were admitted to different hospitals. According to Dengue Surveillance Cell in Karachi, at least 12 dengue patients were under treatment in different hospitals of the city. Meanwhile, two dengue cases were registered in Noushehro Feroz while one patient was reported from Hyderabad.
