WAZIRABAD

PML-J central leader Hamid Nasir Chattha has said that Nawaz Sharif would be no more prime minister of Pakistan soon, adding that the Muslim League could not unite in presence of Nawaz Sharif.

He was talking to the media after condoling with Zafarullah Nomani, the chairman of Electronic Media Club, the death of his younger brother at Wazirabad.

He said that the people were annoyed with the government in just three months and it was a bad omen for the government. “The people are disappointed with the government’s performance and started criticising it. However, we are observing the current situation,” he said.

He said that the political situation would clear up within one year. “I have not quit politics. I vacated my seat for young generation. New leadership should come forward and lead the new generation with new ideas,” said Chattha. He added that politicians should be sincere to their people.

To a question, he criticised the new Local Government System, saying that councilors would be elected on non-party basis under the system while chairman would be elected on party-basis.

He smelt a rat in the new system, saying that the government had an intention to interfere in the election of chairman.

“Making the Wazirabad Institute of Cardiology functional will be a challenge for the government because no heart specialists or surgeon will be ready to work in WIC leaving Lahore.

We earlier suggested that the only way to make the WIC operational is to depute specialist doctors there,” he said.
