DPO vows to purge police of corruption

Vehari DPO Sadiq Ali Dogar has said that he has always been striving for maintaining law and order and eliminating all kinds of crime but this coule only be ensured with the cooperation of the public and media. He expressed these views while addressing an open court here the other day.
He said that behaviour of officials of the law enforcement agencies mattered very much to gain confidence of the masses. The DPO said that he directed his subordinates to improve their behaviour towards the masses and respect the law-abiding people while deal criminals with iron hands.
He reaffirmed the commitment to root out the menace of corruption and make the district police corruption free. “No one within the department would be allowed to do any kind of embezzlement and only those following the policy of zero tolerance against corruption would survive,” he added.
Dogar said he and his team would always remain ready to take any step to help resolve the public issues so that a peaceful environment could be maintained in the district. He urged the masses and media to extend cooperation to police to make the region peaceful. The DPO said that such ‘Open Court’ would also be arranged in other areas to immediately to resolve public complaints.
Later, he listened problems faced by general public and ordered toe police officials to solve at the spot.
DSP Malik Dawood Hasnain, all SHOs of the Tehsil, journalists, trade unions, peace committee members and Tehsil Bar President Ch Moazam attended the open court.
