ISLAMABAD - Pakistan's No 1 squash player Nasir Iqbal crashed out in the semifinals of the New Zealand International 2013 Squash Championship at Palmerston North. Nasir was beaten in straight games by top seed Scottish opponent Alan Clyne. Nasir was never in control of the match right from the start as he lost the first game 11-4 and the second 11-6. The third game witnessed glimpses of Nasir's abilities, as he matched point-to-point against the top seed, but he ran out of steam finally as he lost the third game 11-7, thus lost the semi-final. Sharing his views, coach Jamshed Gul said: “Although Nasir lost the semifinal yet he played brilliantly and this learning experience will help him in not only strengthen his game but also winning next PSA events.” –Staff Reporter
