ISLAMABAD - Ch Yaqoob-led Pakistan Volleyball Federation, which is not affiliated with Pakistan Sports Board (PSB), is sending its team consists of Wapda and Police players to Iran to appear in the world qualifying round matches, without getting NOC from government or the PSB.

The inside sources told this scribe on Saturday that despite getting clear instructions from their respective departments to get government clearance, the PVF was sending the team who will depart for Iran on Monday. “It is a matter of great shame that such parallel bodies manage to go abroad without adopting proper procedure, which result in bringing bad name for the country. Most of the times, fake associations take players, who manage to drop from the squad and disappear in the respective country. The govt must take strong notice of it and stop the team from flying to Iran.”
