LAHORE - A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal at Civil Secretariat here Friday.

An action plan for promoting investment in the province was given approval in the meeting. While addressing the meeting, provincial minister said Punjab Investment Board will be made such institution which will provide facilities to investors in a real sense and for this purpose, rules will be amended. Provincial minister directed to prepare proposals and recommendations for the draft bill for sending to Cabinet for approval.

He said that Punjab has a big potential of investment in various sectors and to benefit fully from these opportunities is need of the hour. He said that hurdles will be removed in the way of promoting investment. He said every possible step should be taken to attract local and foreign investment and for this purpose old system will also be changed. Secretary Industries CEO Punjab Investment Board and concerned officers attended the meeting.
