ISLAMABAD - Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib Tuesday said Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Zardari will never get mandate in Punjab in the next general elections as his party had faced worst-ever defeat in the previous elections. Reacting to Bilawal’s address to a public meeting in district Vehari of Punjab, he said in 2018 general elections the dignified people of Punjab including Multan had rejected the PPP by declaring it a corrupt political party.

The other political parties working for their vested interests would also face humiliating defeat like PPP in the next general elections, he added. Farrukh said Bilawal should tell the nation if he had executed a single mega project in Sindh including Karachi during the past 13 years.

“It is time for practical measures instead of chanting slogans,” he told Bilawal. He said apparently the centre was working in every sector of Sindh whether it was provision of clean water, education, health, transport or construction of highways.

Farrukh said the government of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI), under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, was laying down construction and development network across the board without any discrimination.

He said the nation had given the mandate to PTI in 2018 general elections and nobody would be allowed to spoil it.

The minister said Bilawal in his address hinted out that Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) had lack of leadership within the party as the rift between Maryam Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif had been intensified.
