Our Staff Reporter RAHIM YAR KHAN - District Coordination Officer (DCO) Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi inspected the quality and prices of daily-use items at Ramazan bazaars here on Monday. Under the Punjab governments Ramazan Plan, the district administration has set up eight Ramazan bazaars and 30 fair price shops for provision of daily-use commodities at subsidised rates during the holy month of fasting. These Ramazan bazaars have been established in city of Rahim Yar Khan and Sadiqabad, Khanpur, Zahir Pir, Liaqatpur and Khanbela. Moreover, 10 'Ramazan Dasterkhwans are also being arranged. Talking to consumers, the DCO said a crackdown on adulterators and profiteers is underway and stern action will be taken against offenders. He said all possible measures will be taken to provide relief to people during the holy month. He also directed the officers concerned to ensure effective monitoring to maintain quality, prices and adequate supply of the daily-use items.
