LAHORE The Government College University Lahore Management Studies Department (GCU MSD) has won the Leadership Award at the Second Asias Best Business School Awards held under the auspices of CMO Asia and World Brand Congress. GCU MSD foreign faculty member and noted French economist Dr Marie-Aime Tourres received the award at a gracious ceremony held at Suntec, Singapore. GCU MSD Director Najaf Yawar Khan said that the GCU Management Studies Department was the only Pakistani institution among twelve business schools who won the Leadership Awards. He said that the two other Pakistani intuitions, Karachi University and Institute of Business Administration were awarded with Innovation Awards at the Second Aisas Best Business School Awards. He further said that the CMO Asia had honored GCU MSD 'Leadership Award on the basis of its alumnis extraordinary performance in worlds top multinational companies besides the jury also evaluated Academic Input, Faculty, Placements of Alumni, vision and mission of the institution. GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman expressed immense pleasure at the achievement of the Management Studies Department, saying that highly qualified staff, modern computer laboratories, updated library with business journals and old traditions of academic excellence made the Management Studies Department of GC University Lahore a unique centre of higher education.
