LAHORE PPP Senator Babar Awan has said PPP has moved resolution before the Punjab Assembly for vote on the creation of a Seraiki Province in Punjab and the Punjab government should deal it according to the Constitution instead of politicising the matter. Talking to the media at the Lahore High Court after his appearance in Sheikh Afzal bail plea case, Awan said the matter relating to the creation of Saraiki province would turn move acute and aggravate if the same is politicised by the Punjab rulers. To a question, he said judicial decisions seldom come against 'Takht-e-Lahore and all stay orders are being issued in favour of 'relief brothers. About Saraiki province, he explained that a resolution has been moved in Punjab Assembly and Punjab government should handle it in line with the Constitution because politicising the issue would aggravate the problem. He pointed out that there are two laws in the city one for the Cantt area and other for the rest of city. Awan held Punjab rulers for the increasing problems of the citizens. He said people of Punjab would wipe them out if they did not mend their ways. Answering to a question on Karachi situation, he said no incident of target killing occurred in last two days and expressed the hope that target killings would end very soon. Responding to another query about arrest of Benazir Bhuttos killers, he simply said case is pending in the trial court.
