LAHORE - A writ petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court against the exhibition of an upcoming Indian movie “Phanton” in Pakistan.

Jamatud Dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed has filed the petition through his counsel Advocate AK Dogar. The petitioner says the film contains anti-Pakistan and anti-JuD sentiments.

“Apparently the film is about the 2008 Mumbai attacks and global terrorism. However, a filthy propaganda has been done in the film against Pakistan under the subject of global terrorism,” he adds.

Mr Saeed further says the superior courts of Pakistan have already rejected the claims of Indian government about involvement of his organisation or any JuD leader in the Mumbai attacks. He has asked the court to ban the exhibition of “Phantom” for containing anti-Pakistan content.

Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan would take up the petition tomorrow (Monday).
