rawalpindi - An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Saturday awarded five days physical remand to two members of two different banned outfits who were held on charges of collecting funds for their organisations.

The court ordered Counter Terrorism Department to reproduce the accused on August 13 before the court for further proceedings. The Counter Terrorism Department and police during an action held two accused namely Kashif Siddique of Attock and Rashid Iqbal of Gujranwala on account of collecting funds for Jaish-e-Muhammad and defunct Al-Rehmat Trust. A case was also registered with Police Station Counter Terrorism Department under sections 11F, 11W and 9 ATA.

According to details, Counter Terrorism Department produced the two members of banned outfit before the ATC and sought 10 days physical remand of the accused. However, the court turned down the request of CTD investigators and awarded physical remand of the accused for five days.
