PTI to move PA over child abuse scandal

LAHORE  - PTI, the main opposition party in Punjab Assembly, will submit an adjournment motion tomorrow (Monday) demanding thorough debate on the issue of child abuse incident.
Punjab Assembly opposition leader, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed talking to The Nation on Saturday, said: “PTI will submit an adjournment motion in the provincial assembly on next Monday demanding comprehensive debate over the gruesome incident of massive child abuse in Kasur district. We will ask the house to ponder upon more stringent measures to cleanse the society of this high crime.”
Mehmood, who is also PTI senior leader, said: “We will meet with our colleagues in the opposition – PML-Q, PPP and JI – to discuss a joint action in the provincial legislature on the issue.”
He said his party’s assembly members would visit the families of the victims of Hussain Khan Wala village in Kasur to console them and show solidarity with them by to condemning the horrible incident.
