A daylong seminar titled “Local Bodies Elections” was organised by Sustainable Development Association (SDA) here the other day.

The seminar was presided over by prominent social worker Malik Ghazanfar Wadhal while former Nazim Sardar Ali Hussain Khan Baloch attended it as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the speakers said that local bodies elections should be held according to clear instructions of the Supreme Court. They said that local bodies polls would bridge gap between the authorities and public to resolve the long standing local issues. They demanded the government to held local government elections in Punjab according to the announced schedule. Social workers Rana Khalid Mehmood, Malik Sher Rasool, Malik Inam Ullah Saggu and Madam Shakeela Nasir also spoke on the occasion.
