HYDERABAD - A Pakistan Muslim League-N delegation met with Awami Tehrik president Ayaz Latif Palijo here on other day and discussed political situation of the country. Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Mashhood Khan led the delegation. Leaders from both sides decided to prepare a joint Charter of Demands in connection with the prevailing political situation of the country. Talking to journalists, Palijo said that the PML-N leaders including Mian Nawaz Sharif had visited the rain-hit areas of the province and PML-N's policy about the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was quite clear. He said people of Sindh were looking towards Sindh Progressive Nationalist Alliance (SPNA)- a centre of their hope. The PML-N delegation also met with Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party chairman Dr Qadir Magsi at the party office and discussed political situation of the country, especially of Sindh. Both the parties agreed to launch a joint struggle for restoration of real democracy, elimination of corruption and to throw out the corrupt rulers. Dr Magsi vowed his support for the PML-N's public gathering in Larkana on December 10 (tomorrow). Speaking on the occasion, the STP chairman said the government had failed to deliver and all institutions of the country had been destroyed. He said that Pakistan Railways, Pakistan Steel Mills and other departments had become burden on country's economy while the rulers had become peerless in country's corruption. He said because of the wrong policies of the rulers and rampant corruption, price hike was at its peak and it had become difficult for the poor people to keep their body and soul together. Dr Magsi said that youth were compelled to commit suicide due to poverty and price hike. He said the entire country was in the grip of crisis resulted by wrong economic and domestic policies of the rulers, which has put the country's sovereignty at stake. He said the rulers priority was to prolong their rule instead of resolving the issues. He said that his party would back every movement launched to throw the corrupt rulers out of powers. On the occasion, Rana Mashhood said that his party had already started the struggle to get rid of the rulers. He said the PML-N was struggling for the restoration of real democracy in the country and resolve issues of public interest. "The PML-N will support the people of Sindh on all important issues and not take any decision against their interest," he said. He also expressed gratitude to the nationalist leadership for supporting the December 10 public meeting in Larkana.
