A US drone attack killed four people, including a senior al Qaeda commander, in North Waziristan Agency on Sunday, official and local sources said.

The attack killed Mohammad Ahmed Almansoor and three others in tabbi area of Ghulam Khan road in Miranshah, the headquarters of North Waziristan.

The drone fired missiles at a house with Almansoor inside, destroying two rooms and a car. Four drones were seen flying over the area during the attack, residents and government officials said.

Pakistan has long been opposing US drone attacks in its tribal belt that borders Afghanistan, where US and its ally forces are based.
