SWAT – The house of a humanitarian worker Ahmad Hijazi was blown up by suspected militants near Mingora the other night, however no casualty was reported in the incident, as the family of Ahmad Hijazi was shifted to unidentified place due to regular threats from militants.

The militants have planted explosive device in house which completely smashed its building. After the blast the miscreants resorted to firing, residents of the area said. Local people said that Ahmad Hijazi received threats from Taliban when he was working with a non-government organisation in Swat.

He received threats letter so many times in the last weeks. Neighbor of Ahmad Hjazi said

The police and bomb disposal squad reached the area after the incident and launched operation and arrested a suspect from the blast scene and took him to an unspecified place for interrogation. Official of Police station told. The bomb disposal squad said that six kilogram of explosive was used in the blast.

Official of non-government organization said that they have stopped their interventions in Swat as so many members of their staff received threats and one of his member Arshad Khan were also shot dead a month ago by militants. Local people said that target killing increased again after search operation against Taliban in the area.
