Kausar assures college of addressing financial problems

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar appreciated the performance of Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed Cadet College, which he said in a short span of one year described it a marvellous addition to the educational system of the province.
He said it indeed was proving to be a befitting tribute to the great national hero and Nishan-e-Haider winner. Addressing as the chief guest at the first parents day function of the college on its premises in district Swabi on Saturday, the governor further stated that keeping in view the appreciable pace, with which it is progressing, we are rightly justified to expect that it will become a leading institution of the country shortly. Cadet Muhammad Usman was honoured with the Sword of Honour for his overall best performance over the year while Cadet Yasar Iqbal was declared the best sportsman of the year. Jinnah House also clinched the Champion’s Flag. The ceremony, besides the parents of the cadets was also attended by the senior government officials including the Commissioner of Mardan division and a large number of elites of the area. The governor also witnessed an attractive exhibition of research projects by cadets.
Paying rich tributes to the martyrs of the armed forces, the governor said, whether those who had sacrificed for defense of frontier or for security and stability of the nation with the country; each one of them will always be remembered as great hero of the nation. This institution, he remarked, is a right attribution to Captain Kernal Sher Khan Shaheed whose brave role will always be held at highest esteem with great pride not only by the people of this district and province but the entire nation too. This, he added, is also the best way, with which the developed nations remember their heroes too.
Referring to the certain points raised by Brig Faqir Riaz Hussain in his welcome address, the governor declared to shortly hold a meeting of the Apex Committee, wherein necessary steps will be ensured to resolve financial constraints of this institution.
Muqaddam Khan from Swabi adds: Kausar has ensured that provincial government would resolve the financial problems of Karnal Sher Khan Cadet College Swabi.
He said that the principal and management of the cadet college should not be worried about the financial support. “I will leave no stone unturned to resolve the financial difficulties faced by the college,” he said.
He said that he would meet with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Ameer Haidar Khan Hoti, Peshawar Corps Commander Lt Gen Khalid Rabbani and Ghulam Dastagir Akhtar, provincial Chief Secretary of the province to discuss the issue of financial problems of the cadet college, saying that the allocated funds would be released by the provincial government very soon.
He said that he would remain in a constant touch with the management and principal of the college and whatever are their demands that would be met and the issue of financial difficulty is their top priority. The Governor who was chief guest on the occasion said that without education it would be difficult to make our progress and prosperity true our dreams true. Education is the prerequisite for economic progress and political stability of any country.

“However, the priority which we should have given to the education was not given,” he said. But he did not elaborate that what were the reasons of keeping the education at a low profile by the previous provincial governments.
