LAHORE - Pakistan ODI and Twenty20 captains will vie for top honours of the Faysalbank National Twenty20 Cup here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday (today).

Faisalabad Wovles and Lahore Lions defeated their respective rivals in the Faysalbank National Twenty20 Cup semi-finals here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Saturday.

Earlier in the first semi final, Ahmad Shahzad batted Lahore Lions to semifinal with a scintillating knock of 57-ball 107 including 20 boundaries and one six while Pakistan T20 skipper Hafeez slammed 36-ball 65 with the help of six fours and three sixes and Umar Akmal made 28 with one four and a six. Lahore Lions posted 211/5 for in the allotted 20 overs. Kamran Hussain was the successful bowlers

In reply debutant of the tournament, Bahawalpur Stags were bowled out for 160 in 19.2 overs. Imran Aslam 43 laced with six fours and one six of 32 ball and Moinuddin 33 with four sixes of 16 balls were the notable contributors. Wahab Riaz, Adnan Rasool grabbed three wickets each while Abdul Razzaq got one wicket.

Ahmed Shahzad was declared man of the match over his scintillating knock. Ahsan Raza and Riazuddin supervised the match while Abdul Hameed acted official scorer.

In the second semifinal Faisalabad Wolves defeated Multan Tigers by six wickets. Multan scored 120 for 7 in the allotted 20 overs. Naveed Yasin 46, and Shoaib 25 were the notable scorers. Asad got 2 wickets.

In reply Faisalabad Wolves achieved the target in the 19th over after losing 4 wickets. Thanks to opener M Asif who played a scintillating knock of 66 not out with seven four and two sixes of 50 balls. Jahandad Khan made unbeaten 18.  Irfan and Zulfiqar got one wicket each.
