Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) President Nawaz Sharif has expressed the confidence that the party would bag  2/3 majority in the coming elections and asked the workers to start preparations for elections without wasting any time.

Speaking at a reception hosted by him for the victorious candidates in the recently held by-elections, Nawaz Sharif said victory of PML-N candidates was a proof of confidence of the people in the party.  He said the by-elections were a referendum of the success of PML-N government in Punjab and failure of the rulers at the Centre. He hoped that the party would make a clean sweep in the general elections.

Nawaz Sharif said that they will have to make a new Pakistan by working day and night as the country is in the grip of grave crises. He pointed out that the PPP and its allies have given nothing to the country but crises and they must prepare themselves for returning the looted money instead of dreaming another tenure after the elections.

The PML-N President if voted to power, they would protect the interests of the country and work for raising the living standard of the people. He said the party manifesto was in the last phase of completion and would be made public on the founding day of the Party on 30th December.

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, on the occasion, said the victory in the by-polls had demonstrated the masses’ confidence in the policy of merit.
