President to attend trilateral Ankara summit



ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari will pay a three-day official visit to Turkey from December 11 to December 13 to attend the 7th Afghanistan-Pakistan-Turkey Trilateral Summit.  The federal ministers for foreign affairs, communication and interior as well as other high-ranking military and civil officials will also participate in the meeting. 
   The trilateral Ankara summit, also to be attended by President Hamid Karzai and President Abdullah Gul, will provide a unique platform for furthering high-level political dialogue, security cooperation and development partnership among the three brotherly countries to bring peace and stability to Afghanistan and the entire region.
Held under the theme of ‘connectivity’, the meeting will focus on strengthening economic and commercial cooperation by improving the existing and developing new rail and road links.
