Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that corruption in national and provincial institutions is major hurdle to put the country on the path of development and progress.

In a statement issued here on Monday, on the occasion of World Anti-corruption Day, Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that all sections of society would have to play their role and put joint efforts for rooting out the menace of corruption.

He said that transparency is distinctive quality of Punjab government which is lacked by others.

The chief minister said that Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) through developing transparency has set a new example of good governance which must be followed by other provinces also.

He asserted that international organizations have also admitted the good governance and intelligibility of Punjab government which is matter of satisfaction.

Shahbaz said that no single political party or leader can succeed to deal with the crises faced by country and the prevailing situation, rather it will need joint efforts to drag the country out of ongoing circumstances.
