KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) observed Sindh Culture Day (Sindhi Topi and Ajrak Day) at party head-quarter Nine Zero here on Saturday.
A large number of people, including MQM leaders and workers, artists, poets and writers attended the programme with wearing Sindhi caps and Ajrak.
They also danced on the tune of Sindhi folk music to celebrate the day. They described the cap and Ajrak as an identity of the Sindhi culture and a symbol of the Indus Valley civilization.
Speaking on the occasion, Muttahida Qaumi Movement Deputy Convenor Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that resident of the Sindh province should celebrate the day as to give message of love, peace and tranquility to other nationalities of the Pakistan.
He further added that it is compulsory for nationalities to respect each other language and culture and hope that Sindh would celebrate the culture day in manner to demonstrate solidarity among all the nationalities.
Siddiqui congratulated the people of the province on the Sindh Culture Day.
