FAISALABAD - Three outlaws including two attackers and an under custody kidnapping accused were killed while a cop injured in shootout with police here on Sunday.

Police said that accused Ehtisham Chattha allegedly involved in kidnapping for ransom was arrested by the Chak Jhumra Police a couple of days ago. The police were taking the accused to locate the hideouts of his accomplices when six armed motorcyclists attacked police mobile van on Canal Road, injuring a cop.

The attackers attempted to free their accomplice from the police custody and a shootout ensued which continued for more than an hour.

Resultantly two assailants whose identity could not be confirmed and the under custody culprit were killed while four others managed to flee the scene.

On the other hand, the relatives of Ehtisham blamed the police for killing him in fake police shootout.
