LAHORE: Maulana Zafar Ahmad Usmani was one the Pakistan Movement workers who made the establishment of Pakistan a reality.
It was said by Prof Shafique Khokhar at Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan on Monday. The sitting was organised by Nazaria Pakistan Trust.
He threw light on the services of Usmani besides brief biography of the late worker. Usmani was one of the two persons who were honored by the Quaid-i-Azam to hoist flag at Dhaka.
Renowned religious scholars Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Usmani and Maulana Zafar Ahmad Usmani hoisted the flags in Karachi and Dhaka. He was the one who took oath from the first chief justice of Pakistan, Khokhar added. Maulana died in 1974. –Staff Reporter
