LAHORE – Defending champions Pakistan Army won the three-day 11th National Senior Women Cycling Championship concluded here on Tuesday. Sabiha Zahid of Army was declared the fastest and best cyclist of the event. Army earned 214 points with 8 gold and one silver to finish winners while Wapda secured 164 points with one gold and five silvers to end as runners-up and Sui Southern Gas Company bagged 94 points with two silver and one bronze medal to earn third position. In the 2nd Junior Women Championship, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the first position with 59 points, Baluchistan earned second with 35 points and Punjab got third with 28 points. At the concluding ceremony, Provincial Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar was chief guest and he, along with Kokab Nadeem Warraich, gave away prizes to the winners.
