Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan said the board has received the refusal to participate in the bilateral series from the Indian side, Waqt News reported. “We were hopeful that (Indian Minister for External Affairs) Sushma Swaraj's visit will make things better but it did not happen,” he said.

While talking to the media Khan said hopes are dying for the series. “We wanted to play, but India did not respond positively,” he said. “It is already too late to organise the series and we don’t have time for the series anyway,” he added.

“We will decide our future plan after analysing our options under legal aspects and consultation,” he told the media.

"PCB will face $50 million loss if the series isn't played," he said.
