PESHAWAR - Counter Terrorism Police in two separate crackdowns arrested three suspected terrorists in tehsil Matta of Swat and Bannu region on Tuesday.

The police said that one of the arrested persons has been identified as Farooq son of Ameer from Matta. The arrested persons were involved in various cases of terrorism in Matta where they allegedly targeted personnel of security forces. He was shifted to an unknown location for further interrogation.

In another crackdown, the Counter Terrorism Police arrested two alleged extortionists and recovered fake SIMs being used for terrorism purpose. They were identified Kashif son of Umar Gul from Hasan Khail and Hazrat Ali, a resident of Bannu.

The police have intensified their operation against miscreants, extortionists and kidnappers and arrested about 100 outlaws after the implementation of National Action Plan.
