MIRPURKHAS - Like other areas of the country, Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) will be observed with great zeal and religious fervour in the district. Foolproof security arrangements have been made for the occasion. DIG Mirpurkhas Range Javed Alam Odho said that total 2363 police personnel would be deployed in Mirpurkhas division to guard against any untoward incident.

According to a handout issued here on Thursday, he asked organisers of Milad processions to search all those participating in the processions and also deploy their own volunteers alongside police constables.

He further informed that 1262 policemen in district Mirpurkhas, 500 in district Umerkot and 601 in district Tharparkar would perform duties. He said that all religious scholars had assured him of their complete cooperation.

Meanwhile, various buildings have been illuminated in the city to celebrate the occasion.

Various rallies were taken out by religious organisations on Thursday, while the sale of badges and flags is also in full swing.
