PTI activist shot dead in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Unidentified armed men Friday gunned down a hotel owner here and fled after committing the murder.

Police said that the armed men opened fire at a hotel in Sitara Market of the federal capital critically injuring the owner who expired before he could be shifted to hospital.

The body was shifted to Federal Government Services Hospital (FGSH) for postmortem.

Police said the incident seems to be outcome of old enmity, however, a case has been registered against the murderers and investigation was in progress.

It is reported that the deceased, Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed hailed from Gujar Khan, a Tehsil of Rawalpindi district and was a leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
