Hundreds of men and boys 'missing' after leaving rebel held areas: UN

BBC has reported that Forces led by Syria's government have seized at least 75% of eastern parts of the city from rebels in recent weeks.

Tens of thousands of civilians have fled those districts, with more than 8,000 leaving during a humanitarian pause on Thursday.

The UN said evidence of disappearances has now started to emerge.

The organization’s human rights spokesman Rupert Colville said the Syrian government's "terrible record of arbitrary detention" gave the UN cause to fear for the men and boys,   who had crossed into government-held territory.
