ISLAMABAD – Salman Hadier helped Asif Memorial crush Classic Club by 176 runs in the Super-8 round of Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) Cricket Championship last Pool A match played here at Diamond Cricket Ground on Thursday. Put into bat first, Asif Memorial scored 265-8 in 40 overs. Salman scored unbeaten 108 hitting 7 fours and 4 sixes, while M Irfan made 50. Arsal Shaikh took 3-29 and Abdul Majeed 3-41. In reply, Classic were bundled out for meager 89 runs in 24.2 overs. Only Sarim (16) crossed the double figures. Sami Ullah grabbed 3-16, Junaid Nadir 3-19 and Ali Imran 1-19. Salman was name player of the match. Asif Memorial Club president Ch Hassan Asghar and secretary Ch Ajmal Sabir lauded the team performance while Ch Ajmal awarded Rs 5000 cash to Salman and Rs 10,000 to entire team.
