Traders for withdrawal of excessive taxes

SADIQABAD -  The government does not seem to relieve the traders as the business community, which has already been burdened by withholding tax, being forced to pay excessive taxes on the sale of different goods.

Sadiqabad Anjuman-e-Tajran office bearers said while talking to media at Sadiqabad Press Club here the other day.

They said that business community is the backbone of Pakistan who always has played a key role in development of the country and pulling it out of the financial crisis. “But we don’t understand why the government is behaving like stepmother to the business community by imposing excessive taxes,” they regretted. They urged the government to remove the excessive taxes being imposed on the sale of different goods. They warned that the business community will be forced to protest if their demands are not met.

Later, responding to Indian premier Narendra Modi’s hate speeches and threat to block Pakistan’s water, they urged the government to quit the trade with India. They said that if the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is completed, it will bring unimaginable prosperity to the region.

They said that India is violating cease fire treaty on Line of Control (LoC) to divert world’s attention from Kashmir.

Anjuman president Khalid Saleem Ch, Ch Mazhar Sattar, Usama Saleem Ch, Asad Saleem Ch, Rana Arshad Javed and Ch Mehmood were also present on the occasion.
