So, more than 22 lives have been taken by the U.S drone attacks and the new American President endorses the policy. He has support of at least one Pakistani, former President General Musharraf, who says "leaderships may change but policies won't". So how are the attacks going to be stopped? One way to do that is that our government gets rid of its highly hypocritical attitude of ''protesting openly but allowing secretly'. That is nothing but plain cowardice and that is not very becoming for a nuclear power. Much smaller countries like Syria and Venezuela have reminded us in their recent actions that U.S is not God Almighty we have made it out to be. There's a word called 'shame'. The governments cannot be sustained at the expense of citizens' lives. -RAQIM HAQUE, via e-mail, January 25.
