ISLAMABAD - Security forces have apprehended five terrorists and cleared 15 compounds, besides seizing a huge cache of arms and ammunition in South Waziristan Agency and Swat-Malakand region, ISPR reported on Monday. According to details, security forces apprehended two terrorists along with a cache of arms and ammunition during search and clearance operation at Bachkan Ahmed Zai near Tajori, and Kot Murtaza near southwest of Tank in Jandola sector. In Shakai sector, terrorists fired with rockets and small arms on security forces at Ghundai Ghur Post and Badar Post near Ladha, which was effectively responded. In Razmak sector, the forces conducted search and clearance operation in the area around Bishmat Algad, cleared 15 compounds and recovered cache of arms and ammunition. The security forces conducted search and clearance operation at Darwar Gal and apprehended two terrorists. A total of 31,829 Cash Cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan as relief measures. Meanwhile, in Swat-Malakand region, the security forces carried out search and clearance operation at Malikabad, Najigram near Barikot and apprehended one terrorist and recovered cache of arms and ammunition. Two suspected terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Gagra near Daggar and Maniari.
