AN Australian street performer has set a Guinness World Record by swallowing 18 swords in one go. Australian Chayne Hultgren set the new record for simultaneous sword swallowing in Sydney. The 31-year-old street performer, who calls himself the Space Cowboy, swallowed 18 stainless steel blades, each over 2ft long. He said: Wow, I did it, yeah, wow, it feels good, thank you very much, it feels really good actually. Hultgren had previously held the Guinness World Record by swallowing 17 swords in 2008. The sword-eater said he started his dangerous hobby when he was 16 and had used different techniques to prepare his body, including stretching his throat with hoses. Sky News
