LAHORE - Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) will hold countrywide trials for the selection of talented players for national team to take part in the second edition of the U-16 Boys Asia Cup from April 4 to 7 in Singapore. The Asia Cup will be a Qualifier for the Youth Olympic Games Boys Hockey Tournament to be held in Nanjing, China in 2014, said PHF spokesman here on Friday. The trials will be held at Peshawar, Karachi and Lahore while the schedule of trials is from Feb 15-16, Peshawar, from Feb 17-18, Karachi and from Feb 19-20, Lahore. He said the PHF consultant Tahir Zaman along with coach senior hockey team Ajmal Khan Lodhi, coach junior hockey team Danish Kaleem, U-16 hockey team coaches Rana Zaheer Ahmed and Rehan Butt will observe the trails. The U-16 boys who born on or after January 1, 1997 are directed to bring with them NADRA ‘B’ Form, original union council birth certificate and photocopies of CNIC of parents.
