FAISALABAD -A committee has been formed for the up-gradation of Faisalabad Airport to launch international flights.

The committee was formed in a meeting held at FCCI during the visit of Air Marshal Khawar Hussain, the director general of Civil Aviation Authority. Led by Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Suhail Bin Rashid, the committee consists of MNA Mian Abdul Manan, the chairmen of the PTEA, Aptma, PHMA, representatives from Civil Aviation Authority, PIA and Travel Agents Association, said the chairman.

He said that the committee would take into consideration different aspects of the Faisalabad Airport up-gradation project to make it feasible for international flights in the perspective of air traffic load. The committee will compile and submit a report to Prime Minister of Pakistan, he said.  He said that Faisalabad business community is indebted to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for deputing Civil Aviation Authorities for the project.

The MNA said that PML-N leadership was taking steps for the people especially the business community. On the occasion, FCCI Vice President Ch Muhammad Asghar, PIA District Manager, Director Airports Civil Aviation Authority, Airport Manager Faisalabad, former President Mian Javed Iqbal, Shakil Ansari, Ch Muhammad Boota, Jamil Ahmad, Akram Khan and others also shared their views.
