LAHORE - Home Economics College, Gulberg Lahore organised annual Fun Fair here on Saturday which was attended by large number of the students and faculty members.
The Fun Fair was inaugurated by Minister for Education, Rana Mashood Ahmad’s wife Begum Farhat Mashood who was chief guest on the occasion. She along with College Principal Prof Dr Samia Kalsoom visited all the stalls and admired the products designed and prepared by the students of the college under the supervision of their teachers.
The college was decorated with colorful banners, saying eye- catching advertisements. Various departments contributed in 38 stalls. Textiles and clothing Department came up with beautiful stuffed toys, scarves, innovative medicine boxes, embroidered photo – frames, towels, wall-hangings bed sheets.
Art Department displayed elegantly designed clutches, cushions, and handbags, painted pottery, wall pictures and T- shirts. Food and Nutrition department captured the attention of the students by photography. English department entertained the students by Horror House. HDFS Department presented hand painted scarves, flower-arrangement, handicrafts including dolls, basket etc. Some outsiders also set up their stalls of jeweler cosmetics, mehndi, tea, coffees, ice- cream, noodles, chips etc. Prof Neelam Iman and Prof Seema Shirjell were the organisers of the fun fair.
