Islamabad - The outgoing British High Commissioner Philip Barton yesterday paid a farewell call on the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs (SAPM), Syed Tariq Fatemi.
The Special Assistant paid rich tributes to the efforts undertaken by Barton towards strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, during his tenure in Pakistan.
The High Commissioner expressed satisfaction at the current positive trajectory of the relations between the two sides and reassured full support of his government and of the incoming British high commissioner towards further strengthening these ties. Barton also expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and support extended to him by the government of Pakistan.
