Rawalpindi - Chairman Metro Bus Project Implementation Committee Hanif Abbasi and Acting Commissioner/DG RDA Sajid Zafar Dal yesterday visited Peshawar Mor Interchange Islamabad and directed contractors to speed up work for completion of various works very soon. Brig (Retd) Sohail Abrar, Project Director of National Logistics Cell (NLC), was also present there on the occasion. He told that 90 percent work has been completed and very soon the project will be complete.
Commissioner Rawalpindi and Hanif Abbasi directed to work speedily and finish work immediately. Abbasi directed to speed up the construction work and said this project would be inaugurated on March 23, 2016.
Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja promoted 83 head constables to the rank of assistant sub-inspector (ASI), informed police spokesman yesterday. The decision of promotion of the police officials was taken in a departmental promotion board which met under chair of the RPO.
The board meeting was also attended by City Police Officer Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi and DPOs of three districts.
During the meeting, the promotion cases of a total of 97 head constables were reviewed, the spokesman said adding that of 83 were promoted to the rank of ASIs.
