Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) expressed great displeasure at the government for not submitting Senator Raja Zafarul Haq-led committee report and responses regarding Faizabad dharna (sit-in).

During the hearing, IHC judge expressed displeasure at the government for not submitting the report. Defence secretary also failed to submit report on the agreement between the protesters and the government. He also questioned why the army chief Qamar Javed Bajwa’s name was mentioned in it.

Deputy Attorney General Arshad Kiyani responded by saying that the signature of one member of the committee was not on the report due to which it has not been submitted today. The report will be submitted in the next hearing.

The head of the Intelligence Bureau was also present in court but did not submit the required audio recording. The court has summoned him again on Feb 12.

The judge said, "We will not allow the matter to be brushed under the carpet," and contempt proceedings will be initiated against officials for not following court orders.
