ISLAMABAD : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan lauds the services rendered by ex-foreign minister and seasoned diplomat Lt Gen (Retd) Sahabzada Yaqub Khan. He was talking to Sahabzada Yaqub Khan who called on him here at Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday. The Prime Minister said that personality of Sahabzada Yaqub Khan is a role model for young diplomats, which is a remarkable mix of articulation, intellect and patriotism.

 Issues pertaining to national and international importance were discussed during the meeting.
Earlier, the Prime Minister conveyed wishes for good health and longevity of Sahabzada Yaqub Khan’s life.
It may be noted that on December 27, 2013 the Prime Minister inaugurated the newly constructed office block at the Foreign Office, which has been named as Sahabzada Yaqub Khan Block in recognition of his services in the field of international diplomacy.
