Strict security for Eid Miladun Nabi

Police and district administration here have planned security and administrative arrangements for celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW).
In Muzaffargarh, District Police Officer Usman Akram Gondal directed officers to evolve a foolproof security plan for Eid Miladun Nabi processions.
Talking to the media at District Police Lines here, he said that close liaison should be maintained with organisers of processions. Gondal said that protection of life and property of people was the foremost responsibility of the police. He warned that any negligence by any officer would not be tolerated. He said SHO who failed to control crime or redress complaints of people had no right to remain on the post.  The DPO directed all sub divisional SDPOs to identify crime pockets in their respective sub divisions and immediately double patrolling.
He said that to check incidents of target killing, sub divisional SDPOs should identify persons who could become the target and take immediate steps for increasing their security.
ASP City Rao Arif Aslam, DSP Legal Rana Abdul Razzaq, DSP Saddr Chaudhry Muhammad Asghar, DSP Kotaddu Sardar Ashiq Hussain Khosa and all the SHOs of the district were present on the occasion.
In Khanewal, the District Police Officer has issued a security plan to maintain peace and cope with any incident across the district during Eid Miladun Nabi, which is due to be commemorated on January 14.
according to a handout issued by the DPO office here, total of 27 Miladun Nabi processions will be taken out throughout the district and 784 police men, 254 Qaumi Raza Kaars, 100 volunteers while 100 reserve police men to be ready in case of any untoward incident on the occasion.
Elite police squad will be alert in back up of the police contingent. All the entry points of such religious gatherings will be strictly checked and screened by installing walk-thru-gates and metal detectors.
The DPO appealed to ulema of all sects, public representatives, local leaders, traders and the general public to exhibit tolerance and maintain peace during the month.
