BUREWALA - Police arrested four accused, including two women, on the charge of killing a man and his wife some 18 days ago here the other day.

Hanif, a resident of Chak 225/EB, gave Rs20,000 to accused Raja Abbas to find a suitable proposal for his son Umar Farooq. Later, when Raja failed in finding the proposal, Hanif asked Raja to return his money.

To it, the accused called Hanif to his house and allegedly murdered him with the help of his brother-in-law Aslam, a resident of Kasowal.

The accused persons threw the body in a nearby gutter. After three days, Hanif's wife Halima went to the house of Raja Abbas and told him that his husband was missing. At this, the accused allegedly killed Halima too and buried her body in a local cemetery. Concerned for his missing parents, Umar Farooq lodged an application with the police regarding abduction of his parents.

On suspicion, the police arrested accused Raja Abbas, Aslam, Kanwal and Sajida. Later, the police recovered bodies of the couple. Further investigation is underway.
