PESHAWAR -  PPP member of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Assembly on Monday submitted a resolution, asking for the audit of the government departments, including RTI Commission, KPOGCL, RTS Commission and Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority.

The resolution stated that as per Article 170 of the Constitution it is the responsibility of the government to hold an audit of every government department and instead of tall claims they should identify the corrupt elements who looted public money in various government departments.

He alleged that the government was not interested to hold the audit of the Right to Information Commission, Right to Service Commission, KPOGCL, KP Ehtesab Commission and ECN-KP and other national entities.

He said that the provincial government does not want to make public the audit report of these departments and have adopted delay tactics for holding an audit of these departments.

The PPP provincial leader said that the government should not be run through tickers and headlines and they should think about the public miseries which caused due to Bus Rapid Transit system.

Meanwhile, the PPP KP chapter President Humayun Khan said that the former Prime Minister should not criticise the country’s institutions and instead of calling blue-eyed to Imran Khan, he should also think about his past relationship with former dictators.

He said that politician rendering sacrifices for the cause of ideology but there was no sign of sacrifices in the entire career of disqualified Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

He also condemned removing picture of Benazir Bhutto from the Benazir Income Support Programme cards and said that it shows that Nawaz Sharif still has prejudices for the slain leader of PPP.

He said that PPP fight for the rights of common of people and this programme was appreciated by the entire country. He said that the PML-N government tried its best to end this programme but due to opposition of the PPP, they could not dare to take this step.

He demanded the restoration of the Benazir Bhutto picture in the logo of this programme ,otherwise, PPP would take the streets against the PML-N government.
