MIRPURKHAS - Scores of workers and members of Mirpurkhas citizen’s forum held a meeting chaired by Major (r) Masroor Baig and Nasir Iqbal on Monday.

They expressed grave concern over the devastating education system in the Sindh province. They said that Sindh government had failed to give uniform education policy while many primary schools were lying close particularly in rural areas owing to political intervention and shortage of teachers.

Meeting demanded the Sindh chief minister to take immediate notice, ensure recruitment of teachers to fill the vacate posts, introduce uniform education policy and open the closed schools without any delay.

Besides, scores of members of different social organisations and PTI Mirpurkhas took out a rally from railway station chowk to local press club.

Led by Wajid Leghari and Tauseef Malik of PTI carrying banners and placards raised slogans in support of their demands, while they marched through main roads and culminated at local press club where they strongly condemned the government for failure of education system in the province.

They called the government to improve the education by opening the closed schools, ensure providing basic facilities to the schools and rehabilitate the pathetic buildings of the schools without any delay.
