KARACHI  - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said on Sunday that Sindh was a land of saints, sufis and intellectuals, who devoted their whole lives to the welfare of the humanity and promotion of Islam.In his message on the occasion of the 760th Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Qaim said the saint had persuaded and guided the people through his teachings to the path of righteousness.According to a statement, the chief minister further said that he always strived to promote the teachings and messages of sufis and saints. Speaking about the Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalendar, he said the departments of Auqaf, Culture and Religious Affairs had organised three-day celebrations and all necessary facilities would be provided to the visitors. He said President Asif Ali Zardari was taking keen interest in development and beautification work of Shehwan Shareef. The chief minister also pointed out that various projects were being executed for development and extension of the shrine of Shahbaz Qalendar.
